It All Started with Real Estate

My entrepreneurial journey began with Real Estate. I came to Chicago in May 1993 and became a licensed Realtor in the summer of 1994. Over the next five years, I was part of a "dream team" focused on the Bridgeport neighborhood — selling over 100 properties each year. That experience taught me the ins and outs of Real Estate, negotiation, and the true joy of helping people achieve their dreams. It was a thrilling ride!

Combining Tax Expertise with Real Estate Strategy

Originally, I came to the United States to pursue a Ph.D. in Accounting. Naturally, this led me to become a tax preparer in early 1994, offering free tax services to our Real Estate clients — a gesture that quickly became a big hit. Through their tax returns, my clients showed me firsthand how Real Estate investments could build wealth and remain one of the most tax-advantaged assets under the current Tax Codes.

Over time, I blended my expertise in Tax and Real Estate to craft tax-efficient strategies for investors. Even during the 2008-2009 market crash — a time of fear and uncertainty — I ranked as a top agent in Chicago by helping clients seize incredible opportunities and "bottom fish" properties at historic lows.

Bridging International Markets and Property Management

Following the financial crisis, I witnessed a surge of Chinese investors looking to purchase U.S. properties. Due to my background and language skills, our agency became a natural bridge for these overseas buyers — a trend that continued until China tightened its currency controls in 2017. To better serve these investors, we launched our own property management division in 2016. Today, we offer comprehensive property management service to our busy landlords clients from all over the world, handling everything from leasing and tenant management to property maintenance. 

Expanding Nationwide

In 2002, I also obtained my CPA license, further expanding the tax side of our business. After the 2018 tax reform, Real Estate investing gained popularity among high earners seeking powerful tax advantages. Terms like "Short-Term Rental Loophole" and "Real Estate Professional Status" became industry buzzwords. Post-pandemic, our tax firm evolved into a national practice, assisting wealthy investors from the East and West Coasts as they sought better cash flow and higher cap rates — often finding the perfect fit in Chicago’s vibrant Midwest market.
